Term 3 - Week 9  - Tread Lightly Drain Game

The students of Room 4 were visited by the Drain Game experts.

Educating our students about storm water drains and what we should do as responsible citizens with our waste at home.

Awesome to see our students learn about the importance of 'Water' and what we should and should not place down pipes at home and school.

Term 3 - Week 9  - Camp Activity - Tents

The students of Room 4 are preparing for Camp in Week 3 of Term 4.

In preparation for Camp next Term the students were given the challenge of making paper tents in their Maths lesson with the teaching and learning on 'nets and solids'.

Have a look at the video and the photo showing their model tents.

The students and I are looking forward to camp. The next 2 weeks are lessons, tasks and teaching about camp!

Term 3 - Week 9  - Camp

The students of Room 4 are preparing for Camp in Week 3 of Term 4.

Both teachers of Room 3 and 4 made a special visit last week.

Have provided some photos of Arataki Visitor Center and the venue where the students and their teachers will be spending a few days next term. 

Term 3 - Week 8  - Water Safety

The students of Room 4 are enjoying the last week of their swimming.

This week is about water safety and you will see from the photo, one group of students have packed themselves into the raft.

As a teacher I have enjoyed watching them develop their confidence and learning skills in the water.

The instructors have been amazing and students of Room 4 have made me very proud.

Term 3 - Week 8  - Special Guest at Duffy Assembly

The students of Wesley Primary School had a very special guest at our Duffy Assembly this week.

Daniel Faitaua from TV1 Breakfast show spoke to the students about Reading and the importance of reading. He also spoke about him growing up as a child.

The students from Room 4 asked him for photos and also spoke to them before leaving.

AWESOME to have Daniel at our school.

Term 3 - Week 7 & 8  - Swimming

What 2 weeks of fun and enjoyment watching the students from Room 4 swimming.

AWESOME to see the students develop their confidence in the pool.
